The stat you need, with its source attached

SourceDesk is a free, searchable bank of sourced South African B2B statistics and spokesperson quotes, built for journalists on deadline. Every stat carries its source, date and method. Every quote carries a named person, role and organisation.

Copy any entry with one click and the attribution comes along with it, ready to paste into your story, your fact-check email, or your editor's questions. Every entry has its own page and a permanent short link, and the copied text carries that link.

Where the content comes from

Supply comes from PR agencies, who add SourceDesk's release address to their distribution lists (see For agencies). Releases are indexed into stats and quotes so that the defensible numbers and quotable voices inside them are findable long after the email cycle moves on.

The rules of the desk

Stats are only listed as real, published figures with source, date and method intact. Quotes are only listed with the representing agency's permission. While SourceDesk is in its founding period, the quote entries you see are fictional samples, shown to demonstrate the format. They are badged SAMPLE on the card and in the copied text.

SourceDesk is in beta. Always verify figures against the primary source before publication.

Who is behind it
